Pegasus Lakes consists of two lakes located in the heart of the champagne region situated within North-Eastern France. Just 3 ½ hours from Calais and 13 km away from the beautiful town of Vitry-le-François.

Vitry-le-François is a beautiful historical town. Founded during WW1 and almost completely destroyed in WW2. The town was rebuilt and remains an important feature of the stunning landscape here. Surrounded by canals and home to various landmarks such as the 17^th Century Notre-Dame Church, Vitry-le-Francois offers welcoming traditional bars where sampling of local beers and champagne is a must. A pleasing variety of restaurants and hotels, from Pizzerias; Tabacs; traditional French bakers; and even well recognised fast food outlets are available. The region boasts many attractions worthy of a visit, including local Champagne houses and the more prestige ones a mere 30 minutes away.

Pegasus lakes are 15-20 minutes from the carp mecca, the huge Lac Du Der – Chantecoq, offering water activities & sports, alongside restaurants and bars to which tours can be arranged.

Within the local area of Pegasus lakes there are ample food stores which are greatly stocked and easily accessible.

Ruby Lakes, Champagne, France

Lake Ruby, set in the heart of the Champaign Region in France near the small village of Matiginicourt-Goncourt. Approximately 3 1/2 hours drive from Calais, Lake Ruby really is in the ideal location for a French carp fishing holiday venue.

You couldn’t imagine the amount of hard work that has gone into making this French carp fishery become a reality. There is a full-time on-site bailiff and the team have really put their hearts and souls into this project. With the modern carp angler in mind from the outset, sizeable swims have been constructed around the lake to ensure maximum comfort during your weeks stay. Want to fish with a pal? Not a problem! Most swims at Lake Ruby can easily host two bivvies or shelters.

The usual amenities such as mains electric for your charging requirements, an anglers bait freezer, toilets, hot shower and washing facilities are all available on site.

Lac Le Fearne, Champagne, France

Situated in the heart of the Champagne region close to St Dizier and the shores of the mighty Lac du Der-Chantecoq you will find Lac Le Fearne’s.

This former gravel working has matured into a stunning fishery which just gets better and better every year. The lake is 12acres in size and is stocked with over 300 hard fighting specimens, including 80lb+ Commons, 70lb+ Mirrors and 135lb+ Catfish. If your up for the challenge, they are all waiting for you to tempt and entice them onto your hook!
